MicroWorld.org is looking for an English Webmaster Intern
If you’re looking to get some web administration and communications experience, this is your opportunity. MicroWorld is an internet platform that allows individuals and businesses to finance the projects of micro-entrepreneurs around the world by making online loans. Born in 2010 from a partnership between the non-governmental organisation (NGO) PlaNet Finance and Groupe Allard, the website offers a marketplace of online financing, news and insights on the microfinance field, and a place where lenders can organise their lending activity within an online community.
We are looking for a webmaster to work for at least 3 months. This is an internship based in central Paris, for students or those who seek experience as a webmaster.
We are looking for a bright, skilled intern to assist in managing the English website of MicroWorld.org and its corporate partners. Native English or bilingual english speaker is required.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, your duties will include:
- You will administer the English version of the MicroWorld.org website and will participate in developing new functionalities and features
- You will translate and create written and image content and set up internet promotional tools (newsletters, banners ...)
- You will translate and publish all content that is posted weekly on the site www.microworld.org in French
- You will translate and publish the full content of MicroWorld's corporate partner websites
- You will be responsible for English content publication on social networks and forums in collaboration with our community manager.
You are dynamic, creative, curious, and versatile. You can adapt yourself to multiple tasks with discipline and rigor.
Your mother tongue is English or you are bilingual with fluent, native-standard English.
Technical skills:
• Web development: JavaScript, HTML, CSS• Web design : Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, ...
• Knowledge of Drupal CMS tool is appreciated
You have a good knowledge of e-commerce platforms
Microfinance knowledge is desirable.
