Through this dossier, MicroWorld presents the Lebanon and microfinance from a different viewpoint: from the terrain. Lebanese microfinance, which was first introduced 20 years ago, needs to be consolidated. Even though the Lebanese banking system is one of the most developed in the Middle East, microenterprises cruelly lack funding, which is the reason why MicroWorld and its local partner Al Majmoua, have chosen to play an economic and social role locally, using solidarity loans collected on the site.
