Our values

Since the Capgemini Group foundation in 1967, 7 core values have guided our collaborative culture and our business processes. These values are the guiding principles that we stand up for collectively and individually. Indeed, in the capacity of an ethical and responsible company, those values are at the heart of our actions. They are the following:

  • Honesty, which implies loyalty, integrity, rightness, and an absolute refusal of any unfair labour practice to obtain an agreement or a particular benefit.
  • Boldness, that is, entrepreuneurship, the will to take measured risks, to get involved and of course, a fierce determination to meet their commitments.
  • Trust, which implies the will to give responsibilities to men and teams and the confrontation of managers with the results of their actions and decisions.
  • Freedom, that is a synonymous of independence in terms of opinion, judgment, and action, as well as the desire to get ahead and to develop the creativity spirit.
  • Team spirit and solidarity , which cover - sharing the collaboration benefits - the concepts of friendship, loyalty, generosity and equity.
  • Modesty, meaning simplicity, as opposed to display, pretentiousness, pompous behavior, arrogance and conceit.
  • Fun, finally, without which any enterprise project would be difficult, or even impossible to realize.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Sustainability of Capgemini Group

For Capgemini, the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Sustainability extend well beyond philanthropy and strict compliance with the law. The concept of social responsibility is part of Capgemini values. Our priority has been to incorporate these values into our business strategy, our procedures and our working methods. It is not anymore specialized or peripheral activities, but rather a real requirement for all leaders and all entities. These principles, rooted in the common values of the Group, have become part of our Code of Ethics and guide our relationships with our partners, civil society and the environment in which we operate. They also apply in forty countries in which we operate.

We consider the need for a bold and striking CSR approach to be leaders in the field of environmental excellence and positively influence the future of Capgemini, our customers, society and our environment. We refocused our approach taking into account four strategic dimensions: our employees and the work environment, commitment to communities and sustainable development supported by our values and ethics.

Values and Ethics: "It's a question of identity and business practice."

Our Code of Ethics supports our corporate culture and spread through our business practices, our buying habits and our social policies.

In 2015, for the third consecutive year, Capgemini Group has been recognized as one of the world's most ethical companies by Ethisphere Institute.

Our people and our work environment: "We are committed to being an employer of choice for employees who wish to progress in a creative and diverse environment."

Our priority is to ensure the professional development and wellbeing of our employees by ensuring that our business practices and our facilities allow to achieve excellence. We have a culture respecting and highlighting diversity and creativity of each and every one.

Community engagement: "We strive to positively influence the communities in which we operate."

As an employer with an international dimension, we collaborate locally, nationally and internationally with local authorities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and charities in two priority areas: education and development. The Group encourages the active involvement of each of our team members in the communities.

Sustainable development: "We are committed to understanding and evaluating our impact on the environment."

We agree that, even if we do not manufacture products, the business services we provide have an impact on the environment. We strive to reduce this impact by saving energy and reducing waste and business travel. We also educate employees on key issues related to the environment.
